The system is based upon realistic responses to assaults and aims to help the practitioner to properly react and respond to threats and learn how to disengage from the situation, or leave the scene as fast as possible, or place him/herself to be in a position of advantage against the attacker.
The core foundation of UFAF Krav Maga™ is based upon the military and Krav Maga experience of its founders.
The UFAF Krav Maga™ curriculum was developed, collaboratively, by a group of instructors from different Krav Maga organizations and worldwide recognized self-defense systems.
The emphasis of UFAF Krav Maga™ was to make this system simple, realistic in response, and practical for everyone.
UFAF Krav Maga™ brings teamwork and a sense of family to those that practice this self-defense system.
UFAF Krav Maga™ instructors are constantly collaborating with each other and experts to make sure our curriculum is top of the line. We have an open-minded attitude and we want to continue to keep our instructors and students up to date.
UFAF Krav Maga™ will always remain a reality-based system and will continue to bring the members the newest and the best methods of training in the industry.
UFAF Krav Maga™ instructors believe that the key to survival is to continuously evolve and progress. As criminals evolve with new methods and tactics, UFAFKM recognizes the need to keep ahead of new threats. The tactics and techniques in the
UFAFKM curriculum are constantly under the microscope being evaluated and tested to see if there are simpler, faster, and more effective methods of surviving against any attack.
UFAF Krav Maga™ strongly believes that in order to train realistically, you need to implement the what-if mindset by putting yourself in the attacker’s shoes. As the street is unpredictable, you need to consider the different variables. “What if the attacker is bigger, stronger, or faster?”, “What if the attacker is a trained Special Forces individual?”, “What if the attacker’s friends jump in to help him?”, “What if the attacker is carrying a concealed weapon?” etc. “Murphy” is always invited to the party – he comes uninvited if not.
After mentally preparing for conflict, perfecting their tactics and techniques through progressive practice, UFAFKM Instructors test themselves under the most stressful and dynamic conditions.
Our instructors DO things, not just TALK about it. Any technique that requires more than 2 gross motor skills is extremely difficult to perform under stress.
In UFAF Krav Maga,™ most of the tactics are designed to be simple and universal so that you will react NOT think under stress.
UFAF Krav Maga™ recognizes any Krav Maga rank for students and/or instructors coming to the
UFAF Krav Maga™ family from any recognized Krav Maga Federation.
