Lindy Woods - 5th Degree CKD Black Belt

Lindy Woods, owner and chief instructor at Dunamis Karate, began training in Chun Kuk Do in 1993. Mrs. Woods has always had a passion for teaching and started assisting in classes as a beginner student.  She has owned and operated her own school since 2001.
Mrs. Woods earned
1st degree black belt in 1997 and 2nd degree in 2000, 3rd degree in June of 2002 then 4th Degree in June of 2005, then 5th Degree in July 2009.
  



Alex Gardner - 3rd Degree CKD Black Belt

Alex Gardner started his Chun Kuk Do training in 2004.  He earned his 1st Degree in 2007 and his 2nd Degree in 2008, and 3rd Degree in 2010.
 
Mr. Alex has proven himself to be a great competitor and was the Jr. Forms Grand Champion  at the 2010 Chun Kuk Do ITC in Las Vegas.  His win brought the Jr. Norris Cup back to Dunamis Karate for its 2nd year. 

In 2011, he competed in the CKD World Championships for the first time as an adult and carried on his tradition of success.  Alex won the Adult Forms Grand Championship and brought the Adult Forms Norris Cup to Dunamis Karate for the first time in its history.

Mr. Alex brings that same intensity to his classes inspiring his students to always put 110% into everything they do!
  His high energy classes leave the students sweating, smiling, motivated & wanting more.
 



Andi Woods - 3rd Degree CKD Black Belt

Andi Woods began her Chun Kuk Do training at the age of three.  She has been training ever since, perfecting her own skills as a competitor and as a leader.  Andi has been victorious in numerous local events and she won the coveted Jr. Norris Cup in 2008.

In 2011, Andi regained her title as Jr. Forms Grand Champion and retained the Jr. Norris Cup for another year.  At the 2011 Chun Kuk Do World Championships, Andi was a triple crown winner bringing home 1st place in Forms, Weapons & Sparring ... along with the coveted Jr. Norris Cup!

Andi has been Master Woods "right hand," assisting with introductory classes and regular classes since about age five.  She completed several years as a SWAT Team member, then completed the STORM Team training and started officially helping in classes.  Now she serves as an assistant instructor leading the Tiny Tigers and some of the Jr. Classes.




STORM Team: The STORM Team is our "Special Team Of Role Models."

These students have completed a series of training classes putting them on track to become future instructors.  As they assist in classes, they practice the instructing techniques they learned and continue to develop their leadership and teaching skills.
